This service covers customer-requested manufacturing. It is separate from GLOV Technical Objects, which will present products designed, selected, or developed by GLOV Solutions.

File review and preparation

Preparing a model for the selected printing process

A practical production review can identify obvious issues and establish how the file should be prepared for printing.

File preparation is not the same as full professional CAD, mechanical-engineering, or industrial-design work. Any modelling or adjustment beyond the agreed basic scope must be assessed separately.

Once feasibility and a reference result have been approved, a defined small production run may be considered.

Project workflow

A review before every production commitment

The project moves forward only after feasibility, scope, and acceptance conditions are clear.

  1. Send a file or describe the requirement

    Provide the available model and the practical context for the object.

  2. Feasibility review

    GLOV Solutions reviews geometry, intended use, quantity, timing, and obvious constraints.

  3. Process and material proposal

    A suitable printing route and available material are proposed for discussion.

  4. Quotation

    The agreed scope, assumptions, quantity, and production conditions are documented.

  5. Prototype when appropriate

    A reference part may be produced and reviewed before a batch begins.

  6. Production after approval

    Manufacturing starts only after the quotation and any required prototype are approved.

Limitations and responsible manufacturing

Feasibility, rights, and intended use must be clear

A printable file is not automatically an appropriate, safe, or lawful part for every application.

  • Feasibility is confirmed before production
  • Dimensions and surface appearance may vary with the selected process
  • Final material and colour availability must be confirmed
  • Regulated, prohibited, unsafe, or intellectual-property-infringing objects may be refused
  • Customers must have the right to reproduce submitted designs
  • Parts are not automatically suitable for medical, food-contact, safety-critical, automotive, aeronautical, or regulated uses
  • Certification is not implied unless explicitly agreed in writing

Planning a 3D printing request

Every file and intended use is reviewed before a quotation or production commitment.

STL, 3MF, OBJ, and STEP are examples of commonly used formats. Final compatibility, geometry, scale, and the preparation work required are checked before a file is accepted.

Basic printability checks, orientation, support preparation, process recommendations, and agreed minor dimensional adjustments may be possible. This does not automatically include full CAD, mechanical-engineering, or industrial-design services.

A quotation depends on file preparation, process, material availability, dimensions, quantity, print time, support and finishing requirements, risk, and any prototype stage. No price is issued before the project is reviewed.

You can state a preference. Suitability and availability must be confirmed for the selected process and intended use before it becomes part of the quotation.

GLOV Solutions may refuse prohibited, regulated, unsafe, weapon-related, deceptive, or intellectual-property-infringing objects, as well as projects whose intended use or required assurance is unsuitable for the process.

Not automatically. Medical, food-contact, safety-critical, automotive, aeronautical, and other regulated uses require specific assessment and must not be assumed suitable or certified unless explicitly agreed in writing.
